During my four year tour in the Navy I spent most of my time on the USS Blue, DD 744
Armed with 5 inch 38 guns and DASH (drone antisubmarine helicopter), we performed many tasks.these included underway replenishment of helicopters, antisubmarine warfare, and fire missions on enemy positions on land and sea.

The Green Dragon was a frequent visitor.

Our homeport was Yokosuka Japan until moving to Long Beach California.
